The phone vibrates…a message…times, numbers, deals…and a warning. All in code. So young and so troubled. At home, in school, on the street. There’s no way out – is there?
CODE, Justice in Motion’s urban odyssey into County Lines and Knife Crime, is a spectacular blend of physical theatre, parkour and trials bike stunts with live rap and music. On an urban playground, skilled athletes and performers show what is happening to our young people exploited by organised drug crime gangs.
Nicky is the main character – playing age 12 – 14 and they can be any gender. The role requires someone with strong acting skills and experience of parkour is required, as well as some skateboarding ability.
CODE uses a blend of physical theatre, parkour, rap and trials bikes to create to create powerful, relatable content which helps young people recognise exploitation and the dangers of county lines and its relationship to knife crime. CODE encourages young people to make informed choices and stay safe.
