Emma trained in dance at De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, but her loyalties have always swung between dance and theatre. She was teacher at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College for 20 years and has specialised in teaching actors to move and dancers to act. Alongside this, Emma has spent years devising, directing and performing her own work in the UK and Europe. Emma regularly develops pieces for various groups at both the Pegasus Theatre (Catalyst, Adult Drama and Oxford Youth Theatre) and the Oxford Playhouse (movement director for the 16/22 group). Emma has also worked with companies such as Biserk, Trading Faces and Parallel Existence.
