Joakim Daun

Writer

Joakim has several years of experience working on issues related to forced migration and human rights in Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean. He holds a Masters in International Human Rights law from the University of Oxford and is currently in the process of completing an MA in Writing for Performance & Dramaturgy at Goldsmiths, University of London. His plays have been performed at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) in Zimbabwe and in the Dominican Republic and he is currently collaborating as a writer with theatre company Ice & Fire. He has also trained in Forum Theatre with Cardboard Citizens and Mojisola Adebayo and he has developed a Forum Theatre project for internally displaced youth in Colombia with the UN Refugee Agency. He has joined the team of Justice in Motion for CONTAINED.
